Just for completness of information, here's the full hearing:
    https://www.c-span.org/video/?415070-1/federal-officials-testify-fbis-investigation-hillary-clinton

Today the company that deleted the emails, and Brian Pagliano, will testify.

Choice? of course they have a choice.
Even Cummings yesterday at the hearing said that Chaffetz made a good point, and Cummings is not much of a Republican.

They are obligated to address corruption within the government. Certainly the people they represent would require that of them.

So this 7th investigation is supposed to uncover...what exactly?

Are they admitting that they are so incompetent that they couldn't do a proper investigation the first 6 times?

First technician refused to answer, pleaded the fifth. Even on a question about the fifth.

    Absolutely.

Second technician refuses to answer, pleads the fifth.

Brian Pagliano was not authorized to not respond to the subpoena.

The people they represent would like this hearing to be used for partisan political purposes. Thus, it is held in open session, where cameras can record it, even though the ostensible purpose of the investigation (overseeing the handling of classified information within the state department) would be better served by closed hearings, where the nitty gritty details can be freely discussed.

There is going to be a closed door meeting in the safe room of the House's guest house with those who appeared. The committee is required to have an open meeting first.

Just as with the IRS scandal, when a relatively low-level worker pleads the fifth it means that the scandal stops with them. These workers are not the target of the investigation and would negotiate immunity for their testimony if they could finger someone up the chain of command.

Server was paid for by the Clinton Foundation. 20 people had access, remote access, no encryption.

Oh look, the do-nothing Congress pissing away more taxpayer dollars on crap again.

Good thing we have no homeless vets and all our roads and bridges are brand new!

    Oh wait.

Yeah, certainly the $ of this hearing would cover for all the problems of vets and fix our bridges.
IT's just a hearing, low cost.
