    Hello all,

For the past days I have been using FCP X for a work project on my MBP (see specs on Sig) and It is a nightmare.

When doing a change I have to wait 5 to 10 secs to preview it or else it lags, it randomly crashes and exits out of the blue. And even when not exporting/exporting it has my fans running at 5K!..

I thought my MBP would be enough for FCP X. I don't want to imagine someone using this software in a C2D machine or even an older Core i7 >_<!

Or is there something wrong w/ my machine?

I can't say I have the same experience. I've been using FCPX extensively over the last month on my MBP (2011 2.3 HRAG) and it's performed quite well. There is an occasional crash but I just reopen it and start up where I left off. I am editing off an SSD which may make a difference though.

I have the same mac as you and I don't have any problems running / using FCP X. I think it's just your machine.
