Just got the latest Feeds update and its still totally unstable. Unread counts change every time you open the app even when they don't change on Google. Unread counts almost never match Google. Very annoying.

I've used FEEDS for a long time -- probably since September(?) and have experienced very few bugs. I don't use Google Reader (which is a new capability in FEEDS) so maybe that has something to do with our different experiences.

no doubt, all of my complaints are related to google sync, which simply does not work properly.

have you checked out Byline? also a Google Reader client ... honestly, never had much of a problem with it's stability issues.

i have byline but its slow, and i also have problems with unread counts not matching google. Gazette is the only google reader app i have that works properly most of the time.

FEEDS updated again. Still does not sync properly with Google. I have 631 unread items. I refresh to sync. Feeds tells me I have 1249 unread. I open app again. Refresh again. Back to home screen, now I have 393 unread. WTF.

that has never happened to me after using byline for so many months.

There is still room for innovations and improvement but for what it does pretty well.

4.7.2009 - another update. still doesn't work.

One of my folders "Apple" contains a bunch of feeds. First it says 90 unread. I hit refresh. Says 118. Hit refresh again, now 46. Actual unread? 192.

What a joke. How do these updates get through? There's no testing.

By the way, I started using Google's web interface. Its better than any of the apps. Gazette is stable, but its too slow. I'll wait for the next Gazette update, but for now I'm sticking with Google native.

I've been using feed for the last month with my google account and it works great. I switched from byline. Feeds is fast and stable.

Cmon, can you honestly say it keeps sync with Google? That your unread counts match ?

either you're a liar or my install is corrupt.

Mine works great. I don't think you should be accusing people that they're liars.

Fair enough. Can you explain to me why my unread count changes every time i hit refresh (drastically changes both up and down, not just new articles coming in) and doesn't match what Google says ?

I'm having issues with Feeds, also. I'm really unhappy that the unread counts don't always match the unread items; that I can't "mark all as read" if I'm not connected to WiFi; and that Google Sync just seems to be off.

I'm cheap, so I don't want to keep trying apps that work with Google Reader, but the absence of a solid, native Google Reader app that works as flawlessly as NNW does with Newsgator just baffles me.
