After a year of faithful service I want to sell my powermac B/W G3 and move on to an Apple laptop. It has been heavily upgraded after being built from scratch last year. I hope to sell it here instead of listing it on ebay. I accept Paypal only and will ship to anywhere in the continental United States. Shipping will be actual cost, whatever that may be. My zip code is 02769. So, on to the specs:

    Blue and White G3 400Mhz
    576 MB Ram
    ATI Radeon 7000 64MB
    60GB Seagate HD
Sonnet Tempo Trio (ATA 133/Firewire/USB 2.0 Card)
HP CD Burner (I don't remember how fast but I believe it is 32x)

This computer will not come preloaded with an OS because I do not want to give up my Tiger license. I am very into Linux however, and if requested I will install the distro of choice before shipping. My asking price is $320. Thank you for looking.

I am also taking offers and estimated values. I would also be extremely interested in trades.

I think your system is worth between $150-$200 right now, even with the upgrades. You might be better off selling the upgrades individually.

I recently sold a B&W G3 400 that had been upgraded to G4 500 w/120GB HD, 512MB RAM, DVD/CDRW Combo drive for $249 + shipping. The Mac mini is killing the prices on these older systems. I've seen more than one stock B&W going for less than $100. :(

I bought my G3/450 in excellent condition on ebay for $51 a few months ago. It had 256 mb ram. The price of ram for this machine is very cheap from 1800-4memory (it's generic, but it works great). A 60 GB hard drive is worth about $10-30 used. The ATI card will bring $30-$50 on ebay. The Sonnet Trio card is your only real bread and butter. Sell it separate and it will bring you more overall. It will go for perhaps $60-$100. So all in all your parts (not including your ram--it will not sell for enough to bother selling it separate) will bring about $100-$180, while your machine will bring about $50-$100, unless you get lucky with a naive buyer, which does happen. Selling separate should bring about $220 total if I had to guess, and much less if sold as a unit.

Trade + money for a Powerbook?

I was also wondering if anyone has a powerbook (G4 550Mhz or above) that they would be willing trade for the computer mentioned above and some money. I can also include a Nintendo DS barely used in its original box, with Super Mario 64 DS and a travel case as part of the trade.
