Apple has released Final Cut Express v1.0.1, an update to their intermediate-level digital video editing software. The new version is available for download from Apple's Web site.

Final Cut Express provides a similar interface as Apple's Final Cut Pro, and incorporates compositing, titling and effects capabilities. Final Cut Pro sports the ability to export chapter markers to DVD Studio Pro and iDVD, and can integrated layered Photoshop files and other graphics; it features real-time audio-mixing and audio effects, as well.

The new version of Final Cut Express introduces improved performance and stability, according to Apple, and can now link keyframe parameters to the Motion tab. NTSC and PAL noncontrollable device presets have also been added.

The Final Cut Express v1.0.1 update measures 12.2MB and is free for registered Final Cut Express users. Visit Apple's Web site for more details or to download the update.
