Finally cracked iphone 4 screen. What should I do?

I have had my iphone 4 for 2 years now, last year I broke the back glass and replaced it with a platinum back housing. Yesterday I dropped something heavy on top of the iphone screen by an accident and it smashed it.

If I go into an apple store and they see that the back isn't oem I'm guessing I have no shot of getting it repaired for free?

If I can't get it repaired for free what would the best place to buy a good quality screen so I can replace it my self? I may also just end up replacing the front and back.

You may be better off paying for replacement !

I know of people who have sought assistance from non apple repairers and ended up with a non working or at best a glitchy iPhone.

Applecare doesn't cover smashed screens anyway.

You can try to repair it yourself or pay Apple $150 to swap the iPhone 4.
