sure, I have usually 6 or 7 tabs that point to various locations and any disk (I have 4 attached), also at any network location or other Macs ...Is there a way to open a Finder window with two tabs pointing at two different disks?
File -> New Tab or CMD+TSo, how do you do that?
not sure I really understand what you want ... your screenshot shows 2 tabs with a different disk each (at least so it seems) ... are you wanting to click on 1 disk and then automatically open another one in a new tab? don't think that is possible, but I could be wrongPerhaps I didn't phrase my question properly. I need to double click on a disk (which of course opens a Finder window) but I want two tabs pointing at two different disks, instead of one tab. I know that I can do it later with cmd+t or File --> New Tab. I was wondering if there is a way to do it directly.
It shows two tabs because the second one was opened manually after I opened the Finder window. Is there a way to automatically open two tabs upon clicking the Finder icon? I, too, think it's not possible, but I thought I'd ask.not sure I really understand what you want ... your screenshot shows 2 tabs with a different disk each (at least so it seems) ... are you wanting to click on 1 disk and then automatically open another one in a new tab? don't think that is possible, but I could be wrong
ok, got ya ... I actually have 2 finder windows open at all times, each has multiple tabs. reason is:It shows two tabs because the second one was opened manually after I opened the Finder window. It helps sometimes because I want to see specific paths on two different disks. I could make shortcuts of course but that's something different.
Thanks for putting up with me.
