Not too long ago I decided to upgrade from fc express to studio, so, in an effort to save some money I went the used/ebay route, hoping to eventually upgrade to Final Cut Studio 2. Sadly I misread the auction and ended up with the final cut studio upgrade from production suite (product number M9913Z/A).
So I now have the software, and essentially need to buy the license to use it. Is there any good way to do this? I can't find production suite anywhere (since everything is studio now) or the version of production suite that I can find is in the 1000 dollar range, and i can't even imagine the purpose of this when studio 2 would be only a slight price increase for the whole package (including color).
Is there any good solution to this? Or is this bundle just a total bust assuming that I can't get an old (cheep) version of production suite on ebay or amazon? If I got an old version of final cut pro, would the upgrade from production suite work?
