How clear does what get -- that Gonzales could have committed a felony and still be confirmed by the Senate?

maybe i'm just splitting hairs( or spleens and skulls as it were) but isn't this trying to further muddy the distinction between torture and murder?

And how sad is it that Dems aren't even putting up much of a fight? They posture and all, but most of them are ready to admit it's already a lost cause and he's as good as in. They threaten that he won't be a Supreme Court Justice, but as he even put, that's not the job he is currently going after. They should be fighting him tooth and nail. Some of the Repubs too, unless the want to condone torture.
And it is condoning torture, more reason for our enemies to prove we are just as bad as they say we are. Some say it's ok for us to torture suspects to stop terrorists, but that makes us just as bad as they are. The ends don't justify the means. The worst part is, he's still better than the last guy. They say pick your battles, well this is exactly one of those battles you fight.
Kerik looked like a saint compared to what this guy has proposed.
