okay so I'm looking at my istat and it says firefox is running 85% of my cpu why is that?

i looked into my add on in firefox and it lists

divx
flip4mac
netscape navigator
java embedded plugin
quicktime
shockwave

will restart now

okay its back to less than 30% and fluctuates to 1% but i dont get how it went up that high in the first place it was at a constant 80+%

use flashblock to help performance

Try using the extension flashblock to stop the flash applications from eating your system up.

defnitely something wrong with firefox here, since the first incindent i've been monitoring firefox. I like to tab my windows and just a few minutes ago i had 8 running looking at my smc fan control my temps went up to 70c fan was runnin at 3500rpm so i checked my activity window and firefox was at 101% resources...anyone have a clue?

You should open one tab at a time and monitor CPU usage. You should be able to narrow down the site.

It's Flash, it's always Flash.
