I noticed (since yesterday) that when I try to click on the bookmarks menu item, my Firefox browser quits and crashes.

All the other menu items are fine.

So I went to ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox and deleted that whole directory.

When I restarted FF, it created a new directory but then it still crashed, although it did go into the Bookmarks menu this time.

So then I cleaned out the whole application from my mac and re-downloaded and re-installed it from new.

Yet again, it continues to crash.
This leads me to believe that some other application is working alongside FF and making it crash.

I don't know what it is or how it's doing it.

I pulled up a crash report and this is what I found:

(see this page)

Can anyone make sense of all this?

Apreciate the help?

This may not be direct help, but is there a reason why you haven't updated to version 10.5.5 on the operating system and 3.0.4 on Firefox? That *may* fix the problem.

I have both of these.
I think the report may have been older.
