I use an iMac G4 power pc, 800mhz. It used to be OS 10.3.9, and all worked smoothly. Some wonky little glitches appeared, and I decided time to do some housecleaning & reinstall the OS. I figured I'd upgrade while I'm at it, so I bought 10.4 (tiger?). Clean new install. Works fine until you try and get it to recognize the m-audio firewire solo. System profiler sees the unit; but even after a new install of the m-audio software & hooking it up as they instruct, it doesn't recognize the unit. I experimented, doing a re-install back down to 10.3.9, it runs great again, recognizes it and all's functional. I go back to the upgrade, and it's screwed again. What gives??? any advice? it's annoying.......
