Other than @Bafflefish, has anyone else been successful at fitting this 310mm card into the 305mm slot in the 7,1?

If so, are there any tips, methods, pics you could provide that would that would give me the confidence to move ahead?

I know I could get a shorter card, but that is not what I have in mind-

Thanks flowrider. I've updated my post with corrected dimension data and corrected Bafflefish ref.

I've reviewed the ref provided and still no clear methodology on how this card was made to fit.

I am not sure why people are experimenting with larger GPUs in the 7,1

Just find a used OEM 6900XT and you're set. They're not that expensive.

Different strokes. Thanks for your input

Its not worth the risk or 2% gains with better cooler/overclocked GPU, these GPUs are already dated and 6 years old 🙂
I saw a guy use a dremel just to fit a larger card in the 7,1, it pains me to see it 😀

I agree, I have exactly the same approach.
Cutting such a brilliantly designed case with anything is a crime that should be punishable 🙂
My setup has looked like this since 2020. I use the reference AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT models .
The computer has never overheated, and believe me, the hardware has been under some really heavy loads.
