Flaw when setting air tags !

I have found a possible flaw when setting up air tags on iPhone XE (probably other devices also !)
If you have not updated to the latest software, prior to pulling the plastic for the battery activation, the prompts for update remove the auto set up on the phone
I spent the whole of Saturday morning trying to sort it out- Apple had me resetting my phone and resetting Network Settings but nothing would activate the connection between phone and tag !

This might not have been the case, had this not been the first tag registered !

I gave up on Saturday, planning to send them back but on Sunday morning the set-up prompt came up automatically !
I would be interested if anyone else has similar issues

Probably since you’re using an unreleased iPhone prototype. Bugs are expected.
