Mac Book Pro bought on the 14 Sept 2017
    2.8Ghz Quad Core 7th Generation
Intel core i7 processor. Turbo boost up to 3.8Ghz
    16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
    256 GB SSD
    Radeon Pro 555 2GB

The screen flickers when ever booted (when ever open the lid to wake up). I took it to Genius Bar today. It needs Logic Board replacement and will order for the part and do the repacement.

I am not sure if it is the same problem as that I encountered with my 2011 Mac Book pro and its discrete graphic card? Has Apple not resolved that type of problem in its latest Mac Book Pro products?
I am very anxious if it is going to do the same as what happened to my Mac Book Pro 2011?

Could any one tell me if there is a problem recognized with Mac Book Pro 2017 and its discrete Graphic card?

Here is update on my Mac Book Pro 2017 15" "
I collected it after a replacement display.
I am told that it did not require a logic board replacement after all!!!

    I keep my fingers crossed

I’m curious, when did the issue start, and what version of OS are you using? Since High Sierra 10.13.4 I’ve had issues with my 2017 13” MacBook Pro w/TB having snow/static flash when waking from sleep. I started a thread and it appears many people have the issue. After going working with Apple and going through two replacements it seems this is a software issue.

Check this out to see if it’s the same thing you’re seeing... https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...nitor-static-after-waking-from-sleep.2113498/

My problem started about 3weeks ago when try to wake up the laptop by opening the screen.
Mine shows as High Sierra 10.13.5.
I do not know the OS version when my laptop when went in for this repair(I don't know if Apple has updated to this latest version of the High Sierra when did the repair)
Let know in here if the problem repeats...!!!
