so this gun nut (looking at her face page) left a loaded gun in reach of her kid along with it seems not strapping him in. she claims she has taught him to shoot too. well I guess she taught him well he did not miss.

Wait, I thought Obama was supposed to come for everyone's guns already. Don't tell me Fox News and AM radio have mislead on us on this, they virtually guaranteed it.

So the NRA does not want pediatricians treating gunshot wounds in children to discuss gun safety or storage with parents or guardians during such treatment.

Why the hell not, one must ask yet again.

My other question is whether any of these my-kid-shot-me incidents --the ones that don't end in a fatality-- cause any change in attitude or behavior on the part of the parent who, however inadvertently, provided the weapon to the kid.

No misleading by them. He tried to suggest that kind of legislation but congress wanted nothing to do with it.

Lesson: never leave a gun laying around. ? or just a way to get on the "news"..

I'm trying to think how u can not even say "yes, a 4 year old kid will behave and not pick up the gun"

Oh you mean expanded background checks that 90% of the people supported? That kind of legislation to take everyone's guns away?

Remember parents, the only way to stop a bad toddler with a gun is a good toddler with a gun.:rolleyes:

Oh yeah, makes a lot of sense. God forbid anyone should discuss a gunshot wound with a child's guardian, or inquire whether the guardian would consider storing weapons differently with a child in the house in the future.

NRA likes it much better this way:

Cause of injury: beats hell out of me.

Cause of injury: musta fell onto his toy sword.

Cause of injury: some sort of metal thing, maybe part of a kitchen utensil?

    Cause of injury: unknown projectile

    Cause of injury: unknown

    Cause of injury: N/A

    Try this one:

ruling was based on the RIGHT to privacy.

if the guardian did NOT learn his/her lesson, then whats wrong with a Darwin award?

What about the doctor's First Amendment rights. I wonder if the hospital agrees with the rulings. If they don't, they could appeal on that ground. If they do then I guess the doc has to keep his bits of wisdom to himself?

Ludicrous suppression of sensible information. The NRA has its head in the sand on this issue. Somebody should dig them up before they expire from lack of oxygen and sunshine.

I actually read this and laughed. She got what she deserved and I'm glad she got popped and not a sibling or pedestrian. I'm just trying to envision a 4yr old shooting a .45 ACP and the kick of the gun. lol

Looks like all of the Moms Demand and #gunsense mouth breathers found her Twitter account.

She was irresponsible, and very lucky she's not dead.

She should have locked the little bastard in a hot car under the sun, lol. I read the headline and figured the kid could drive and shoot at the same time.

Yeah the kid is totally at fault here. Let's hope this 4 year old child gets the lethal injection or at least 200 years in prison.
