Another example of conservative craziness. Stick your head in the beach sand and pretend the problem isn't there.

    These people are dangerous.

This is literally the legislative equivalent of someone putting their hands over their ears and screaming "LALALALALALALALALALA!".

Please. "Global warming" ceased to exist and it's now "climate change ". The climate has always changed:rolleyes:
What happened to the polar Ice caps melting by now? Did someone pay enough carbon credits to counter the effect?

Global Warming has not ceased to exist. It describes the overall effect of global temperature increasing. Climate Change is the result of global warming effecting different regions in different ways. Both are happening.

As they have always happened over 1000's of years. Polar ice caps still here regardless of what Al Gore claimed, get your carbon credits & pollute to your hearts content

This is a planet where water born fossils are found in deserts. Polar ice grew and receded before man. Preserving resources is about the only sensible thing. Thinking that man can affect the world's climate is ridiculous.

Hey, don't forget...we may have nearly all the climate scientists in the world, along with their data, on our side. But on the other side, they've got a guy standing up in Congress with a snowball in his hand to prove that man-made climate change doesn't exist.

It's no contest; they win.

It depends upon the scientist and from where they get their funding. And what stake or gains are held by those doing the funding. Al Gore, mentioned earlier, is not a scientist, yes. But he became enriched from global warming.

In other news, Florida Republicans have also banned the use of the words unemployment, inflation, income inequality and affordable healthcare.

Do I think we are causing it? No, but I certainly believe we are affecting the natural cycle.

But what does that have to do with this issue? You're talking about geological processes that occur over millions of years. Mountains form, oceans change, whole continents are reshaped. Unless you're a new-earther, these changes are a part of our planet's four billion year history. But what does that have to do with mankind pumping greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and warming the planet over just the last 200 years? Can't you see the difference between those two things?

What's happening now was going to happen. The same way that what went on the past millions of years was going to happen.

Massive amounts of oil and coal were going to leap out of the ground and set itself on fire?

are we not the natural cycle? :p

you have a bunch of scientist who among them predicted the polar ice caps would have melted by now, global "warming" was such a joke that they changed it to "climate change", your "scientist" depends on the GOVT grants they get, of course they will say whatever the GOVT wants them to say .

so please pollute as you wish, all day long, just pay your taxes,,,,,er get your credits.

    its all about money.

This is what happens when you allow unlimited sums of money into politics (aka Citizens United). Politicians are bought and paid for. The fossil fuel industry has unlimited financial resources and countless politicians to continue spreading misinformation about climate change. Inhofe is an idiot, and so is Rick Scott.

The current state of US politics is truly, truly disgusting. I keep wondering when people in this country will wake the hell up and demand something better and vote these clowns out of office. How about the idiot politician that decorated his DC office like Downington Abbey? And when questioned by media about it, he quoted a Taylor Swift song and said: "haters gonna hate". Really?

Fox is NOT a news channel.

Let me repeat this to you jkcerda: Al Gore is NOT a climate change scientist.

Yes, politicians do love to make it sound like the sky is falling. This is true for both sides. And at the same time the they and the general media knows jack diddly about how science works.

So please, enough with the Al Herrings. Go read what ACTUAL SCIENTISTS have to say. You can start with the link I posted above.

Funny thing is, nobody can produce this command, directive, policy letter, or whatever it is, that orders Florida officials not to use the phrase "climate change."

It's all rumor, hearsay, innuendo, and a wink and a nod. In other words, it's nothing.

Yes, actual scientists. 97% of climate scientists all agree that climate change has accelerated due to the burning of fossil fuels and the resultant CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
Anyone who refuses to accept a 97% scientific consensus is not worth arguing with.

Until we get corroborating evidence that this was a direct order from the governor's office (or any high Florida official) then it's just click-bait.

    You mean like Hillary's email?

Will that also require a a direct order as proof of her transgression?

Just checking to make sure your burden of proof is applied consistently.
