Download Lagu (Music App) in the iTunes Store. It's free and it's virtually identical to the iOS 6 Music App. There are many music alternatives in the app store but this one looks and acts just like the old iOS 6 app. It's not perfect, but until Apple fixes up the new one, it will due. Give it a try.

Excellent thanks! I was using an app called denon audio and soundhound. But this lagu app seems a much better option. :)

Thank you. Just what I was looking for. Perfect Apple Music app replacement. Even for those of us still on the lastest iOS 6 as they're kicking it old school with the look before Apple completely whitewashed the entire interface from top to bottom dingy off white with grey text. Some pic action provided below from my iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1.3.

I'm looking for an app that can show long titles that otherwise don't fit on the screen. Can Lagu do that? In the old Music app this function was implemented through tap and hold.

Sorry, no. The only time long song and album titles scroll is from the Now Playing page at the top.

Does it work with iTunes Match for songs not actually loaded onto the device?

I still love the Denon one because it lets me listen to local radio stations live.

Guess what I'm playing on Youtube right now thanks to you? As if I didn't have enough artists to listen to...

I don't use iTunes Match myself. That being said, the below settings option if I'm reading it right indicates that it will only play items already downloaded to the device.

    iPad Mini Retina

Hi does anyone know what this displays like on the iPad Mini?
Or which is the best app for the iPad Mini for music?

I truly hate the iOS 7 Music default music app, its so awful it actually puts me off listening to music on it.

Those red highlights / marks remind me of school and getting a wrong answer on a test.

I am actually stunned by how bad / ugly this unnecessary change is.

In iOS6 (later versions) the full name did indeed show in the song list when you tap and held. It would come up in a black tooltip above the song name.

I filed a bug report with Apple when I noticed it not in 7 asking them to put it back.

I've been using Picky and Groove. Both are excellent. Picky is quick and easy and Groove has more options. Find myself using Picky most of the time because it is so simple.
