God damn that's a lot of innocent people killed...
Really shocking. Time to just admit that this can't be saved.
Get Americans and Brits out, send in UN-commanded muslim forces from non-Arab states (e.g. Turkey in the south, Pakistan, Indonesia in the north), and partition the country into three. There's no other way forward.
Come on now. What on earth would the US do with the Largest Embassy In The World and all those Permanent Military Bases they've been building? Bush and Co have been doing their best to make it impossible to reverse.
I'm sure they also dug in deep in Saig...I mean Ho Chi Minh City.
Just heard a White House spokesman on the news saying that these high death rates are proof that the security clamp-down ("surge") is working!
Welcome to the world of double-talk gibberish. If the death rates drop we'll take the credit - if they go up we'll take the credit.
So we'll know it's finally worked when everybody's dead? Final Solution, indeed.
Could someone tell me why there are car bombs going off in Baghdad?
Mainly because Saddam Hussein's not around to keep a lid on things, I suppose.
I'm just curious as to what the bomber thinks he will gain by bombing the Shiite areas.
He probably sees the Shiites as being in bed with the occupiers. And the Iranians. And as being apostates and worthy only of death.
The bomber must feel powerless to do anything else but kill people to prove his point. Something is inhibiting his voice in the matters that are Iraq.
The bomber is but a pawn, sent by someone who benefits in some way from the havoc the bomber wreaks.
The someone who benefits is probably Iran. Having a strong Iraq as their neighbor diminishes their position of power in the region.
We just need more troops, that's all.
What the situation needs in good security. I guess Saddam was providing that in a way before. Of course thats all changed and will never return to that. Someone, namely Iran, is benefiting from the lack of security and seeks the further destruction of order and infrastructure.
Time to compare the two B's: Baghdad 170 Blacksburg 33
Yeah? George W. Bush is the guy who handed Iran the advantage, a serious blow to America's national security.
What's funny about mass killings?
I doubt that's even a priority on the agenda.
Wow...I've yet to hear anything about this(on TV)...school shootings, while sad don't need as much air time as this on is getting. CNN is still calling it breaking news!
Why isn't the American media focusing on all the good things that happen every day here? Why must they only focus on the negative?
I've got two school building projects that are nearing completion, yet you don't hear a word about that in the national news media. Yet a few kids get hosed at college, and it's all the news media can talk about...
sorry you didnt catch the sarcasm.
