Honestly, I haven't turned off or changed the TV's channel in my bedroom for about three weeks now and I can assure you that map was different three days ago. I remember watching it that day, sure, a lot of bad jokes were made as usual which I find funny sometimes but the map didn't say Egypt!

And on even more of a defensive front, there are plenty of facts broadcasted. Sometimes they over-exaggerate, well, a lot of the time they do, but they are facts.

*Cough* They use Microsoft *cough* :p
Seriously... how can they screw up a map? If they honestly couldn't tell Egypt from Iraq, couldn't they have used, oh, I dunno... the internet?

Some intern mislabeled a country, end the channel immediately.

And CNN once labeled the Czech section of a map as Switzerland. ZOMFGWTFBBQ! CNN isn't news, either. They're so worthless. Sometimes they screw up on any channel. Even that which isn't Fox News. Move on. Or, we can turn off every channel. Yeah, that would probably be better for the United States anyway.

It's a worry that people still defend the channel. The fact that a tu quoque logical fallacy is all they have speaks volumes.

It appears dems watch the channel and take it more seriously than most republicans. If you watch any live broadcast you are going to find mess ups all over the place.

Another tu quoque logical fallacy (although this one is so vague it doesn't even provide an image or a channel). They're coming thick and fast.

p.s. You are aware that they don't make the graphics live aren't you?

    That's pretty funny.

That is a major fail for a news program. The person that created that map, if they were on these forums, should be posting it in the most embarrassing moments thread.

News networks make mistakes all the time (graphics, statements, statistics, quotes, etc). What's the point? Should we watch one network over another based on mistake percentage? I'm not saying this is good or defending Fox News in particular, but should we really pick apart every mistake every network makes? Or just Fox News?

It doesn't matter what channel you watch, this will happen. It doesn't discredit every news story they report on. Anyone who watches the news and doesn't think for themselves is an idiot anyways.

Also being as I am a graphic artist, yes I realize that, but they are also given short deadlines.

Absolutely you should do this. You should pick apart everything that you're presented, irrespective of the channel.

    Tu quoque.

Though I do indeed enjoy being a critic of everyone, am I insane to think such mistakes do not require their own thread on a computer forum?

No care. The fact that it happens to every station is good enough for me to disregard the fact that it happens to fox too. I know where Iraq/Egypt is, I don't need a graphic on the screen to tell me.

Hmm...it's been a long time since I've seen any other news channel besides Fox label disgraced Republicans as Democrats. It's happened more than a few times on Fox. Coincidence? I don't think so.
