Caught this this morning as a highlight from the Sunday morning Funnies. Enjoy.

Sometimes you don't know what is worse: Fox, or the fact that you see the train wreck coming, but can't do anything to stop it, but continue to look for it anyway.

I often wonder whether the people Fox hires away from more reputable news organizations were always secretly right-wing propagandists or whether they get corrupted once they get there. Howie Kurtz always seemed like a decent journalist when he was at the Washington Post, but he’s now just a shill for the Fox News propaganda message of the day.

Ouch. That must've hurt. Didn't live tv have a short delay for emergencies?

I suspect some of the Fox News people don't even believe in what they are saying. For them, it's all just a way to build up ratings and make money off of the divisiveness they create.

Well watching Fox is like tuning into a train wreck, you know it's gonna be bad but you can't help yourself. The broader issue is the majority of Americans don't trust cable news. Why? Because they can't just report the news, they have to weigh in on it from whatever partisan tribe they ascribe to, which makes many question the legitimacy of the actual news piece. I've asked many friends where they go to find legitimate objective news and they don't have a clue where to find it.

Wow people are completely misinterpreting this Monmouth study. It's not asking people which network people trust more, it's asking 3 separate questions-

    1. Do you trust CNN more or Trump?

    2. Do you trust MSNBC more or Trump?

    3. Do you trust Fox more or Trump?

All 3 of these questions, people said they trust the network more than trump. Kurtz showed the graphic 30 seconds later, they just showed it in the wrong order at first.

    PS: 48% + 45% + 30% doesn't equal 100%

By the way, here's the whole study. Important paragraph below-

    https://www.monmouth.edu/polling-institute/reports/monmouthpoll_us_040218/

"The Monmouth University Poll also finds that Pres. Trump is trusted less as source of information than three cable news outlets – except if you ask Republicans. Nearly half the American public (48%) trusts CNN more than Trump, compared with one-third (35%) who trust Trump more than CNN and another 13% who trust both equally as a source of information. The results are similar when Trump is pitted against the left-leaning MSNBC – 45% trust MSNBC more, 32% trust Trump more, and 16% trust both equally. The right-leaning Fox News also bests the president as a trusted information source – 30% trust Fox more and 20% trust Trump more, although a plurality of 37% trust both equally."

Not always. They usually go "on delay" when they are going to cover something live that they think people will curse during or for particular shows that have a history of hosts/guests cursing. Besides, the delay is only a few seconds and they are looking/listening for curses/nudity...the odds of someone seeing this graphic and knowing to block it out that quickly are pretty low.

I like Shepard Smith. Too bad conservatives want him fired.

Regardless of the details, it is easy to see CNN and MSNBC are more trustworthy than Trump, and Fox.

What it also says is Trump is more trustworthy than Fox when compared with CNN and MSNBC, too!

Right, that’s the point of the poll. It’s not comparing the networks to each other.

Agreed - I think news in the US is going downhill and the trend is spreading elsewhere as well. You know things are bad when reporters for a news service interview their own reporters. Both FOX and CNN do this, but honestly I'd rather hear the opinion of bona fide experts. The news is becoming echo-chamber entertainment. :(
