    Hey all,

I have some video files on a home server and I'm looking for a solution to stream them over the Internet via ssl/https to Safari on an iPhone? Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Air Video isn't encrypted so that's out.

    Thanks!

Easiest way would be to set up a web server and using an SSL key (either self-signed or getting a free StartSSL Class 1 key), deliver the files via http to your iPhone for playback over the web browser. It'll recognize the file and use the mobile Quicktime components to play it back.

Of course if the videos aren't in an iPhone-playable format, you'll need to use handbrake or something similar to convert your videos there first.

Do you know a simple way to have the mac web server show a listing of all the files in the default web directory?

K...got the directory listing figured out. Now, on a file I know is good x264 I get a play arrow symbol with a circle and a line through it when I come in remotely. It seems to work if I'm on the same subnet though. Any ideas?
