Ever since I updated my air 2 with the latest iOS 12 release, I find that my iPad is not as responsive to touches on the screen as it used to be, typing is really slow, scrolling in safari stutters, safari will render half a page with the bottom of the page being blank, and apps will freeze.

I have reset the iPad to factory settings and started using safari without signing into iCloud or installing any apps. Within a few minutes, safari starts to lag again.

The hardware buttons are working, charging is not a problem, battery health is at 96%, no cracks on the screen, iPad has never been dropped.

Any ideas as to what I can do?
