Normal? Oh.... you mean whiny, entitled socialists? Please leave. Immediately. Don't wait for three years. Juts go now. Head right to France and you can have your little social utopia. You'll all be broke within a few years but at that point no one here cares. BYE. :)

Republicans should lie about their liberal beliefs, immigrate, and flip their government.

As i already live on the other side of something called Atlantic Ocean,I don't need to leave anything. Guess that the opinion of what's normal is different in north Europe.

    Uh, no?

What could possibly make you think that?

What's funny is that you can't even move to France. Of course the French president goes and says all this, but if you're a regular American, especially if you're "unskilled" there's 0 chance that you're going to just migrate to France because you're a liberal. Pretty disappointed with the French president in this one.

I'll help them pack and drive them to the airport.

No. Most repubs are just "liberal lite".

Actually, let them goes as well. We don't need light weights here.

Lol. Liberals don't like to work. And manual labor is out of the question.

I cringed when I read that article. In any way, shape or form did Macron called for liberals to immigrate to France. He incentivized *quote* "scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, responsible citizens".

Now, if you equate scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, responsible citizens as being liberals, then its a whole different subject

So basically, anyone who might benefit the French economy. I hope the US is fine with brain drain, though

It's all talk. It's very difficult to immigrate to a country like France.

US has nothing to worry about. It's been like 5 months and all of a sudden everybody thinks nobody is going to attend college at MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Penn, or go work at Google or Apple or something.

One high-skill person leaving the country because of Trumps policies is one too many.
And perhaps you should check the reforms Trump is activelly seeking to the H-1B visa program.

Lol. Such a great generic statement.

The reforms to the H1-B visa program are a godsend and a good thing. The visa system is just abused right now.

Yeah the article didn't say anything about welcoming liberals. I took his statement as a jab at Trump's decision on the Paris Accord.

That's the same generic statement that republicans use when defending the muslim ban and the wall.

That's your opinion. I personally think that having such program allows companies that require the best of the best to hire the most fitting person to the job. Why should companies be artificially constrained to the pool of american workers, if there is some people better suited for the jobs?
But hey, your opinion may vary and that's a highly sensitive topic. I don't expect people to agree with me on this one.

I apologize for the rude ones and I appreciate the perspective of forum members like yourself, @Scepticalscribe, and others. who represent grounded views from outside the US.

What you replied to and what is evident in this thread is the fairly common US Conservative mindset. If you don't like it, leave. (I can't speak for the prevalence of this attitude in other parts of the globe. ;)) There seems to be a superiority complex involved, a confidence in the righteous of self serving values.

But I'll assure everyone, that the liberals are going nowhere. As always they will strive to save the country from it's selfish tendencies.

Side note- Very funny is when self described "Native" White Texans, tell my wife to leave the State if she does not like whatever is being debated (in online forums). She tells them at 20% Native American and 40% Hispanic, she is more native than are, so if anyone goes, it should be them. ;)

Another absurd generalization about liberals, courtesy of the divisive mind set created by Fox News.

By the way, the Teamsters Union endorsed Hillary. Maybe you'd like to tell some of those guys that they aren't hard working?

It seems that anyone benefiting the economy is assumed to be liberal in the US ;)

Lol, you'll help pack up and send the "normal" people out of the country. That is what you replied to. I must ask, is this the goal of conservatives, get rid of the normal people? Apparently looking at the GOP, it seems so these days. Lol! :D

None of the even more socialist nations in Europe, such as in Scandinavia, are anywhere close to the point where their citizens will be broke in a few years.
