Some local Tea-Partiers in Iowa made the news today over-the-pond with a billboard they had that connected Obama to Hitler and Lenin!

They had it taken down, even some of their fellow Tea-Partiers knew it was going to make them look silly.

The tagline is ironic to the point you'd think the billboard was a piece of satire, or at least made by someone with a sly sense of humour :D

I'm really sick of s*** like that. It's completely ignorant. The Tea Party proves over and over that they have no clue.

Ironic indeed, considering that these Tea Boobs pray on the fears and ignorance of people to push their "message". I don't guess they've listened to the actual Co-Chair of the Socialist Party USA

Keep it classy, Lipton Loons.. keep it classy.

Not for nothing, but hey Fivepoint! This is your home state! Remember my comment about what Nebraskans thought about Iowa when I was growing up in Omaha? Idiots Out Walking Around? While not all of them live up to the taunt, you have to admit this was a damn fool thing to do. Have you heard any comment from the locals around there? Also, happen to know where in Iowa this was posted?

EDIT: Never mind. NPR reported it to be in Mason City. North/Northeastern part of the state, primarily farmland.

This is more about the Tea Party than Iowa. Many in the Tea Party publicly condemn this but I bet that most agree with it. Especially based on comments in PRSI and internet blogs and signs at their rallies.

But I do love the irony of the sign. The McCarthy era has returned (including distrust of government, etc.).

So long as it is on the internet it is now beyond the tea parties control even if they did decide to take it down--they cannot fix their brand of ******* crazy to look like a field of daffodils around here LOL

This is pathetic, particularly after having had to listen to the caterwauling from many righties about how evil MoveOn was for comparing Bush to Hitler, even though they never actually did. The fact that two submissions were made by members was enough for many conservatives to demagogue the issue.

Yet there is no move afoot to condemn the tea party for this.

Oh dear.. Wonder what the internal process was that made them think about headlining Mao instead:D

See Hitler's still on there, no chance of him disappearing from the bill :p
