Found this on the net. It really goes to show how silly the game can be.
That was pretty funny, and accurate too. I loved it when he shot the first guard in the "hand" and the one guard in the "foot". It shows you how far we've actually come in the genre of FPS.
hahahahahaha that's hilarious. I loved the garage door.
I musted have missed the meeting.
Maybe you never played Goldeneye 007 on the N64? That's what the video spoofs.
Not the actual movie or the terrible rogue agent "tie-in" game.
obviously then, you were in communist china.
That video was awesome
That was ridiculously accurate.
As someone who wasted a lot of time playing that game, this video brings back fond memories Very nice work! Thats exactly how it went.
Wasted? WASTED? I can't believe you said that...
Please, please take it back...I spent too much time playing Goldeneye to be able to be told that time was wasted...
oh damn, that's the funniest thing I've seen all week. I love it when the guard on the balcony just starts running against the railing; just like in the game.
I remember killing many guards in that game by shooting them in the foot until they died.
Hehe, it is quite funny! When you see the James Bond type character running around when he's being shot at - that's me, I can't use consoles at all!
Great video, brings back the memories...
I really should have gotten university credit in GoldenEye.
Dude sure loves his spinning text and logos.
Having been born and raised in communist china (apparently), I only played Golden Eye for about 10 minutes a million years ago. Was the AI really that stupid?
Or any video game for that matter. I'd have done much better my first 3 semesters if that was the case. (OK, Goldeneye didn't affect me too much, but TWINE, Gauntlet Legends, Unreal Tournament and counter-strike sure did.)
God I feel old.
I think I was playing Heroes of Might and Magic 2 on my SE/30.
That and MUDs.
Ooo! And Nettrek and Crossfire! Ooo! Memories!
<swings cane at whippersnappers>
Yeah, that's how the text and logos were in the game.
This guy is good... I love how bond runs aorund swinging the gun up and down... so accurate. I got a kick out of that.
The AI was really good for the time. AI was just taking babysteps when Goldeneye came out and it definitely benefited from it. If an enemy saw you, he'd run and sound the alarm for example. Or if you shot a gun in an enemy infested area like the Bunker, all the enemies would go to you and start shooting at you making it difficult if not impossible to complete the mission (although it's fun just to keep killing enemies that keep coming at you!) But like any game, it had its quirks like an enemy running into a railing.
I think also, you have to remember that this is a live rendition of a video game. While it didn't and won't seem as silly when you play the actual game, you can't help but laugh to see actual people faithfully portraying video game mechanics.
This made my day. Seriously.
My wife and I both laughed out loud - we picked up an N64 a little late in the game, and thus don't have GE, but Perfect Dark, but we were still both laughing our heads off...
