I know it is early, but has anyone heard of a 3rd party dvd burner(internal) for the new G4 ibook. THe "old ibook G3" had one from MCE i think. Any speculation as to when this could be expected.

Woah... the inks still wet on the press release for these iBooks. Give them some time. I'd imagine as it's slot loading, the MCE drives might work.

Email and ask them.

i am ancious. I am planning on buying the new ibook and was wondering if this was a possibility soon.

Why not save yourself the trouble and get a 12" Powerbook

'cause a 12" powerbook with a superdrive starts at $1800. Sometimes that one feature just isn't worth a 64% price increase.

I want the 14 inch ibook. For my eyes the 12 inch is out of the question. The ibook i use now is 12 inch it grows annoying with the small screen. (just my opinion)

They have the same screen res, so the 14 inch may bug you more, as the pixels are stretched to meet the 2 inch diagonal screen increase.

i know they have the same screen res, but the icons and stuff on a 14 inch are bigger.
