I was able to sell a 16gb 4s for $193, 16gb 5 for $339. $532 cash in my hand in about 10 minutes. Seems like more than a lot of trade in offers, plus no mailing in or waiting, just walk out with cash. Just an FYI incase anyone is looking for a quick cash out option.

On launch day, the manager from the gamestop store in the mall I was at was offering some kind of % amount higher via gift cards.

For instance, I think it was like $350 for a 16GB 5, but $500 for the same phone in gamestop credit.

I sold my 16GB iphone 4s white on ebay on launch day for $335. I netted $288.

That's correct, I think it's about 20% more if you want in store credit instead of cash. Unfortunately, my wife won't let me become a gamer:(. So i just took the cash.

Last night. You can get an estimate on their website, too. I typed "GameStop phone sell" into Google, and it brought the page right up. I did have some difficulty finding it from their homepage though.

Innntesting. Thanks for this info! Still trying to decide how to unload my 5 once the 5s arrives.

Some Gamestop locations run weekend specials giving 50% more credit for a device if you use it for store credit.

The store credit can be used to buy gas cards and Amazon cards which are as good as cash to me.

Gamestop was also running a special where they would email you the plus 50% trade in on anything coupon when you paid the $15 to be a pro memeber. It took 48 hours for them to email you. I can't confirm they are still running this promotion. You could call Gamestop and ask.

Not a terrible idea to redeem for gamestop cash, especially if you're already planning on getting a PS4 or Xbox One in a couple of months.

They're currently offering 30% more if you take store credit.

I sold them a 16GB iPhone 4 and a 16GB iPad 2 last week. Got $550 credit total. Used that to buy one of their refurbished 32GB iPad 4s + their accident protection plan. The iPad is in pretty good shape -- screen is flawless...just some cosmetic scratching on the case.

Is that really true? That would be pretty awesome.

Get about $200 for a 4S (as mentioned above) + 50% = approx $300 in an Amazon gift card that we'd spend anyway? If it's legit, it's almost a no-brainer.
