I was wondering if someone could help me understand how this happened. Today just like any other day I opened up the App Store, expecting it to take me to the Featured section. Instead an iWork screen popped up and underneath were of course the apps iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand, all of which I'd seen and heard would be made free for users who'd activated their Idevices after a certain date 17th September. So at that point I was surprised to see iMovie for £2.99, iPhoto for £2.99 and GargeBand for FREE! Immediately I started downloading it and it eventually installed. This happened on an iPhone 4 activated a couple of years ago. What I wanna know is, how did this happen? And why is only GarageBand FREE. I class myself as a techie but I just don't get this. Just in case you don't believe me I'll post some links to screenshots of it both FREE in the App Store free section and beside the other apps I've mentioned in the Apple apps section:

Garageband was made free for everybody and now has in-app purchases.

Interesting. Will have to give this a try and get my music career back on track :)
