I have some computers at work with Tiger on them and Garageband 3 that came with Tiger.
I also have a Leopard machine with Garageband 08.
I noticed a huge difference in the number of effects and loops available in Garageband 08 compared to Garageband 3, so I asked the IT people to load iLife 08 on the Tiger machines.
But Garageband 08 did not show all of the extra loops when it was installed on a Tiger OS machine.
I thought that upgrading to iLife 08 would also upgrade the loops that come with Garageband 08, but that is not the case.
Are the extra loops in Garageband 08 actually part of iLife 08 or part of the Leopard OS?
Might they be part of FCP Studio 2 as opposed to FCP Studio 1 (that is the other difference between the computers).
Is there any way to install all of the loops available in Garageband 08 if one is running Tiger or FCP Studio 1 (assuming that the loops are part of those programs) or are the extra loops only available when Leopard or FCP Studio 2 are installed?
Thanks for any advice.
