Wow- this is just creepy. This is why discrimination and this constitutional amendment stuff has to stop.

Ladies and Gentleman, this is your Republican party. Until the party renounces these stances, if you vote for them, you are a bigot. Period.

History will not be kind to your choices until you recognize that our founding fathers meant for us to be free and not subject to the tyranny of a bunch of old men (in robes).

I was astonished when I read this. It is exactly the effect of these amendments that I feared.

When the Republican Party implodes, which they will if they keep us this hateful agenda, it's going to be real ugly.

They are well on their way. This is crazy stuff. It's like a witch hunt to keep any and all judges who night happen to be gay off the bench. WTF is that? And what about straight judges who support marriage equality?

They would be 'legislating from the bench' against 'the will of the people'.

Don't be silly. All us straights who support marriage equality are closet gays. Not that we're made that way ... it's purely a lifestyle choice we've made to find the same sex attractive and not act on it.

It would appear that dissent is no longer a democratic perk, at least according to Republicans in Virginia?

Funny. If you ask these dimwits to define "homosexual agenda," they'll be hard-pressed to give an answer. Why? Because they don't know what it is themselves.

Until the US reaches a stage where the dinosaurs die off and the more equality-aware generation below them gets into office these sorts of incidents will continue. One day it will be as embarrassing for a US politician to block someone because of their sexual orientation as it would be because of their skin colour. Already in many countries the sort of language that Bob Marshall uses would see him out of office at the next election. The USA is behind the curve, but in 20 years time people like him will be openly ridiculed for those sort of statements.

In the meantime, keep up the pressure. The Berlin Wall looked solid and unassailable right up until the day it just crumbled and fell. The influence of the Religious Right will eventually disappear in exactly the same way.

Now if they just exclude Catholics, et al, we might be in business, for they also know how they are going to vote on many issues.

This isn't funny. This reeks of McCarthyism at it's worst.

Looks like you'll have to do it again. I don't pay attention to that stuff though. It's just immature, pathetic children who down vote.
