There was once a restaurant by the name of Sambo's in the area.

Halloween may be the wrong time to discuss appropriate stereotypes...
So where you reffering to the restaurant? Guess I'm just too conditioned...

Don't forget your coat sweetie. :)

no coat for me :), it wasn't cold tonight; I wasn't cold at all in my towel.

The night went very well. My costume went over well with the public. I had lots of shouts from the sides like "take the towel off!" etc. I was walking behind a guy and he turned around chucked at me and said "look at that, we have Hercules in the parade" and I laughed and said "Hercules?! Yeah right, but thanks :)" and then he said "you're going to have a train of girls following you" and I said "I hope not" :p and he said "and probably some guys too" and we both chuckled. An interesting little encounter.

If you want an ego boost just walk through crowded public areas in a towel, it was a lot of fun :D.

Anyways, I posted a picture to my blog, which I won't post here because... well... just because. It's nothing bad, but I just don't want to post it :).

How did everyone else's Halloween go?

Did the film turn out okay Lee? I'm sure it did, and I'm sure you were unbelievably sexy in it. ;)

Ok- I don't even know where to start. As you all know, tonight was the premiere of my new movie. It showed in a club as part of a horror film fest called Crashfest. I had not seen the finished product until tonight. Let me just tell you it was BRILLIANT. After the trilogy showed, people stood up and CHEERED. I almost started crying. It was way more than I hoped for. (I've found some new directors to work with.) :) To top it off- we won for best film! And trust me, there were a lot of good works tonight. The three directors I worked with all expressed interest in working together again. We were hugging all night after we won. Sometimes, I really f***ing love what I do. The head of the improv film group congratulated me and I just said "It's you who made this possible." He just said " Oh- I just sign the checks." And I said "No- you believed in me enough to sign me on. Thank you." It was a serious love fest afterward. Guys- I'm on cloud 9 right now. :)

Wow, that's great. I can't even begin to imagine what that must feel like. What's the name of the movie and how will it be released?

I don't know. It'll probably run the film fest circuit before anything else happens. It may never be released. This is the US, after all. :) It's really to early to know.

That's awesome!

I told you that it would turn out great :). I'm very happy for us, we both had good halloweens. And to top it off, my 2D design homework is looking really good.

Good for you! I hope you get an "A". Guys- I can't tell you what a coup this was for me. I get to work some more! I'm literally about to explode! All sorts of people came up to me afterward. It was amazing.

Lee, just got in from seeing a couple of clients, and Buddy, I'm so pleased for you. I'm also quite drunk and like an idiot I drove home, but I made it OK, Again, we all knew it 'cept you.

Oh- I'm pretty drunk myself! I just did not expect what I saw on screen! My friends who showed up loved it.

Well, I managed to double post, so I'll use it up. Emerson, pleased to hear your night went well. Perhaps we should observe Halloween down here too.

Congratulations Lee! That's fantastic:cool:

Hopefully it will get to the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC. I would love to see it.

Morning guys

Lee, congrats!! I'm really happy for you. Sounds like quite a success. Hopefully it'll make it to some other festivals (on this side of the pond :) ) so that i can see it. Please keep us all informed on what happens and where it screens or how to get a hold of it. Big hug for you mate :D Well done!

Emerson, :D :D I like the 'costume'. Looking really good.
Just curious was the idea of the candy stripe towel to elicite thoughts of 'good enough to eat' :D

Thanks :). I chose that towel because it was rainbow, and therefore gay. I didn't want to be ambiguous about my sexuality out in the parade. I got some good stares from some hot guys and I loved every minute of it :). Surprisingly enough, the women were the ones who approached me and asked me if I was wearing anything under it, asked me what I was supposed to be, complimented me, and just talked to me in general. I think the gay guys were shyer about that for some odd reason. Shame...

I walked past a guy and overheard him saying to his friend "I like this guy" as he gestured towards me, and I smiled at him, waved, and walked back to my friends. I felt quite good after that ;). However, that was the only verbal come on I received from any guys the whole night. I did get a lot of looks though from guys who I suspected might be gay though :).

Maybe you should have walked up to the ones you liked and said hi, and ... well whatever it was that you wanted to say :D Besides I'm sure any gay man (and a few not so gay ones too i'm sure) would have been eyeing you in that get up :)

Anyway mate sleep well

Well when you put it that way ...

Expect gladiatorial combat from some avid fans though :D

Mind you with your towel exploits you may soon be developing your own fan base to do battle on your behalf :D
At the very least you've added a new reason to own a towel which even the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy didn't have. May be used as a haloween costume (but only if you are cute) :D
