Is the GeForce 3 designed for AGP 4x or 2x? Are cards designed for 4x slots(GeForce 4) compatible with 2x slots? I know they fit, but are they compatible? Cause I have the dumb Rage 128Pro 16meg in a G4 400 Sawtooth, and I want a GeForce4 Ti, and I need to know if it is compatible with my computer. I couldn't find any info anywhere, so I thought this place could help.:)

compatability

from what i read the 4x cards will work in a 2x slot but its not worth it. if you want a good card for a 2x agp slot get the 32mb radeon card. the best one for the 2x mac slots. and unless you can get a geforce4 ti for like $50, you wont see that much of a dramatic increase in fps.
