George Bush calls for Russian influence investigation
he was pretty quiet during Obamas years, he needs to stay quiet now.
Unlike Obama, Bush could say something.
And its not a direct criticism, he is calling for a full investigation. Trump should not be worried, unless there is some impropriety.
What will this accomplish? Also, if it is found that there was Russian Influence...is that illegal, and if Trump had no knowledge does that matter? Has there even been any hard proof, or has this all be just speculation? Is this the lefts version of the birther movement?
Edit: Was there even anything leaked that was inaccurate?
I admit this has always been a non topic for me, so have not done as much reading on it as some topics.
His box of crayons must be empty.
why? consistency, he needs to ****.
Insure that the US election system is safe from foreign meddling.
I would think you of all people would cheer that.
I'll be happy to send him some
You should call him directly. Oh, that's right, your opinion is meaningless.
Remember non toxic!
where is the fun in that?
But what was done? I thought they just leaked info, that had been found accurate in the first place. Are we in fear of having accurate info exposed? And are people upset about that, or was there poof inaccurate info was leaked?
Plus if the left is so concerned with meddling then why are they so against voter IDs that could help with just that? Even if voter fraud is not wide spread it should secure the election system.
gee, that's kind of why there needs to be an investigation
I watched the full clip of the interview - my brother sent it to me, - and we marvelled that we were both quite impressed with what he said.
Very interesting interview.
In it, he argues strongly in favour of a "free press" stating that he "considers the media to be indispensable to democracy", adding that "we need an independent media to hold people like me to account" and remarking that "power can be very addictive and it can be corrosive and it is important for the media to call to account people who abuse their power whether it be here or elsewhere."
He made the further argument that "one of the things" he had made the case for, when he was President, when meeting other leaders, such as Vladimir Putin, was "to accept the notion of an independent press" remarking that "it is kind of hard to tell others to have an independent free press when we are not willing to have one ourselves."
I never thought the day would come when I would find myself quoting - or citing - George W Bush approvingly.
But it has and I did.
the Russians gave the Americans the transparency Obama promised
Can you please link me to some items that were leaked that are expected to be inaccurate that would require investigation? I am playing devils advocate here since I may not be as up on this topic as some of you guys.
they were so accurate the DNC did not bother denying them, hell some in the DNC stepped down because of it
Wow. Trump makes Bush look good. Seriously.
I'd be fine with another 4 years of Bush right now instead of little Trump.
Shows how far the right has fallen.
he ate all those anyway
had Hillary won your wish would have been true............
That's not what quite what he said. He said if Richard Burr thought it was necessary then there should be an special prosecutor.
Anyone that doesn't think an investigation is warranted isn't a true American. Isn't that what some of the right would say?
So why opposed to an independent investigation with official report?
This is proof that Donnie is roughing up both sides. This is good, very good.
Keep going Donnie.
Nah, the Russians just spewed more lies. Man, @jkcerda, I'm kinda surprised that you can see all the hypocrisy in the American system, yet seem to believe the Russian system has no ulterior motives in their political propaganda...
