How come there's no real available iOS alarm status for iOS that's situated on the lock screen? I can set a timer alarm that I then watch reach its goal.

But to see the current alarm and/or set a new real alarm for the next morning or the like, I am going to have to unlock my phone go to the Clock app and go to town there. Sometimes I am in the position, other than horizontally when I sleep, where I'd like to set an alarm for 2 hours more..

It's my experience that the lock screen on iOS doesn't allow for much customization still. Sure, notifications come through.. but having the weather there or the famed alarm preview is a no-go.

Am I missing the complete obvious for setting up iOS - now on version 15 on this iPhone 8?

I'm but no means a dumb individual, but later they will tell me that I have an IQ of 48.

Help.

Hi Siri, when is next alarm?

Hi Siri, set alarm at 6 am in the morning.
You have to be kidding?!

I think what I'm asking for, in case it wasn't clear, is a way to observe the next alarm on the iOS 15 lock screen. Changing would be exciting too. I'm not in anyway going to begin talking to my phone.

BTW. I'd like to extend a thank you. My reply was quite snarky - that's my nature. I realize that I need to alter this behavior for when I interact with people, online and out in the real world where I am interacting face to face. Great tips.

iOS is currently backlogged with hundreds of bugs. The iOS crew is up to their necks in them and most have no fix in sight. Every time they change something, it breaks something else which may be extremely difficult to find a fix.
Your feature request sounds nice - but the risk it’ll break something else or several somethings isn’t insignificant.

I’d just he glad that the iPhone works at all.

true words spoken. funny how that is actually. I'm liking iOS and to have the feature e.g by switching phones to an Android based device is too far away... I'm looking into investing in an alarm clock instead - or for the time being. I've seen some pretty great ones that can wake one with a subtle change in light and ones that will even change my diaper in the morning and brew coffee for me too. Perhaps fry an egg or two. One can dream.
