Hello, if I know the MAC/IP address of a computer, can I track the location of the machine to find its whereabouts?

    theoretically
    http://whois.net/
you will get the ISP, if it's a corporate network it will be quiet precise, if it's a normal consumer ISP you will get a region, and perhaps a mail to an admin that you can contact.

is it because you are looking for a stolen machine ?

Don;t forget that the ip address changes as you move around..

I don't see anyway to find your MAC address though.

google "find computer via MAC address"
