iPad Pro Glad I went with the 10.5” Pro instead of the 11” Pro.

After using the iPad Pro at work with the Smart Keyboard, I knew I needed to have one myself. It’s so nice to type on and the power of the machine is very noticeable. It’s super snappy and just a joy to use.

About 3 months ago I started my research on which generation / model I was going to purchase. I absolutely LOVE the screen and no home button on the 11”, and having an iPhone X the FaceID is a great feature to have. I was pretty positive that this was the model I was going to go with ... until I used it with the Smart Keyboard. I don’t know what Apple did to it but I have the way it folds and your hand is holding the keyboard when it’s folded in the back instead of the microfiber material that the older 10.5” had. I could be very nit picky here but that just bugged me tremendously. Also, I don’t like that the folio is just held on by magnets and I was actually able to get it to fall out of the folio a few times with carrying it the way that I’d normally carry my iPad Pro at work. The drop protection is also non existent. The sides can easily become expensed and hitting it on any harder surface from a good amount of height could do some real damage to your very expensive gadget.

I ended up going with the 10.5” Pro and I couldn’t be happier. The machine is still very snappy, and almost didn’t notice the speed difference in every day use compared to the 11”. I guess that really depends on what you do with it.

i do feel bad because I do everything on my iPad Pro now and haven’t showed my MacBook Pro any love recently. It’s weird because I haven’t had the need to go back to the MacBook for anything yet, but that could change.

I was completely sold by that magnetic recharged Apple Pencil 2 and after my 2018 iPad frozen 5 times in 3 days, I jumped the gun and bought that iPad Pro 2018 256GB with Apple Pencil.
I tried two cases and returned both (Apple smart folio and Otterbox folio (https://www.apple.com/au/shop/produ...series-360-case-for-11‑inch-ipad-pro?fnode=9e) ). Now my iPad Pro is naked. Because iPad Pro uses aluminium, it is slightly better for scratch resistance, unlike iPhone XS Max stainless steel frame.

Whenever I snap the pencil onto the side of the iPad Pro, I feel pretty good. It is quite satisfying. Writing using that Apple Pencil is also great. No lag, no stutters, fantastic.

All that matters is that you’re happy. :)
