Hello fellow Scots! Who is heading down Friday morning then for the 4S launch? Thankfully this year i have the day off, for the 4 launch i had a flight to catch at 1030, got to the store at 0745 and was still queuing at 915!!! Managed to get the staff to sell me one though and just made my flight!!!

trying to decide which shop to go for? Braehead is good if its raining i suppose but not sure when they will open the malls doors??:D

I didn't know there was one in Braehead now! I thought Scotland only had one in Glasgow and one in Aberdeen. More the better! But yeah, that would be better if it was raining haha.

I was originally going to go down but I got lucky with pre orders this morning. I met some nice people while waiting in the que last year, and the Apple Store workers were bringing out tea and coffee! Awesome haha.

I'll be at the Buchanan Street store on Friday! Getting the 05:16 train from Perth so I'll be in Glasgow for 06:34, hope that's early enough :p.

I'll be wearing my new t-shirt as well:

    Hope it doesn't rain!

6.30am should be fine, the last two 8am launches I have attended in Glasgow there were no issues with joining the queue at 7am and as the 4S is a revision update I don't think the demand on day 1 will be high.

I was going to get there for about 7am (but I managed to order online), same time as last year for the iPhone 4. I was about....maybe 15th/20th person in the que for those who had reserved online. There was another que for those who hadn't and where just there hoping to get hold of one once we all got ours.

That was the for the iPhone 4, so I don't think it'll be as bad this year. If your going to a carrier store though...get there early as they will have less stock, so there will be a lot of people queing, perhaps, extra early. I couldn't get into the O2 shop to get a microsim because they were so busy, and when I came back in the afternoon the shops were all still busy and there was still a que at the Apple Store.

Oh if your looking for a microsim, O2 gives them out free (at least they did last year). I can't remember if the other shops were charging.

Only 1 queue this time though. Good thing is there's another store in Glasgow now, well just outside. 7am should be fine.

    First time I've queue'd

Really, really, really, want to ensure I get one one on Friday but at the same time don't want to turn up at stupid o'clock unless I have to. I'm sure there will be people there mega-early but was planning on arriving at 6am:eek:

I know there are no guarantees but surely that should be early enough?? Having never queue'd for one before will you regulars look after me cos I'll be on my own and I think it will still be dark at that time and I'm a bit of a wimp! Husband is working although I'm still working on him to get him to drop me off:D

I've had the iPhone 3G then iPhone 4. Bought the iPad and then my first queue for an apple product was for the iPad 2 in Glasgow which was great!

At first i was reassured by this thread, and was only going to head down there at 06:30. But, there is NO way I will be going at 10pm the night before. I live at the bottom of Buchanan Street, so I think I'm just going to stroll down to be in time for Starbucks opening at 06:30, then join the queue.

I'm going on holiday for 5 weeks, flying out Friday night. So it's Friday or nothing for me. :(

I'm hoping to get there about 6:30-6:45, I know the shop is to open at 8:00 but how quickly do you think the queue will go?
