That is amazing!!! It makes absolutely no sense, France and Europe need something like the first amendment.

If the EU did not exist, Marine Le Pen would be liable for prosecution under French law. So why are the so called "globalists" to blame?

    That is true.
Once again another example of how european countries have no freedom of speech.

But the EU does not have to get rid of her immunity.
The whole point of the immunity is to prevent politically motivated prosecution.

She must be closer to winning than the public polls suggest. This was done way back in 2015 and they've only just voted to revoke her immunity.

Stinks of a political hit job.

The EU is the EU, looking out for their turf, not globalists. It's the similar as when the US Federal Govt dictates to their States, however there should be a free speech standard and there should be some limits on interference.

Maybe you explain the purpose of using the Globalist label in multiple thread titles?

Corrupt for posting images on Twitter in 2015? That's what the issue at hand is.

Well there's her dodgy EU expenses. And Trumps dodgy dealing with Russia and his contractors and his taxes and Nutalls lies about Hillsborough. And UKIPs dodgy EU expenses as well.

    And the list goes on.

I figured it was a way of invoking the usual anti-semetic tropes without running afoul of societal disapprobation.

The people who run the EU want no borders.
They want to unify the law, currency and culture.

Same as the people who oppose Trump in the US.

    Anti-semitism!

    That's a rare one.
Haven't even added that to my PRSI-Bingo yet.

    Thank you! :)

Your explanation still does not qualify as globalist imo. The EU is the EU.

The EU, the UN and the majority of governments have been steadily working to dissolve borders, regional currencies and separate legal jurisdictions.

They are all unified against Trump and the right-wing movements across europe.

That's why I call them "the globalists".

I support Trump because I want to stop them.

    Are you seriously interested why?

I'm just questioning you motivation for using the globalist label to erroneously describe something you don't like. And what completely undermines your strategy is choosing an unstable conman as your White Knight to solve the problem. A programming analogy for Trump- garbage in garbage out.

I explained why the globalist label is fitting.

Trump is our last realistic hope to reverse the damage done over the last decades.

He could've just retired and enjoyed his billions. You think he enjoys being the most hated man on the planet?

Too bad he did not, we'd all be better off. The man and his team are an unmitigated disaster for the US. I think he is a lying, cheating power hungery narcissist who feeds his affliction, who benefitted from Russian interference in the US Presidential election, who had extensive contacts with Russians during the campaign, (like when did meeting with Russians while running for President ever happen before??...NEVER), and seeks to benefit his business brand over his responsibility to the country, hence his Russian love and denials.

Insults, name calling and the russian-interference tinfoil conspiracy.

Stupid me expecting anything different for a change.

Don't mischaracterize truth by labeling it as name calling. For Trump, a spade is a spade (not a heart), a conman is a conman, and a liar is a liar. These are statements of fact. President Trump and his team consistently lie as their methodology for pushing their agenda and pulling the wool over the World's eyes. I'm dissapointed that you would choose such a character to hold up as an example of an exceptional human being.

Calling Trump a "liar" isn't an argument and has nothing to do with what I am talking about.

You accused me of insulting and name calling and I explained that I was accurately describing Trump.

No. I don't think any of the many people here against Trump want that. Or in congress. However, I do believe some on the right would like to spread conservative religious thinking to other countries. Thus you get things like Uganda's "kill the gays" bill after being influenced by people from the U.S. that traveled there.
