Gmail Notifier not working?

For some odd reason, my Gmail Notifier just stopped working yesterday. It shows "No Unread Messages" even when my mailbox has new mail. I tried using the notifier on a windows computer, and it worked... so I assume it's nothing to do with my router or ports or anything.

Anyone have any idea on what could be the problem and how to fix it? I just updated the notifier to the newest version, and I'm using the newest version of Tiger.

I'm having the same problem, I'm using the gmail notifier from scue, the one that looks like a postage stamp. The problem only started happening this morning, and it's not getting any information from gmail at all.
 
Yeah, I just updated and it still doesn't work.

Anyone else out there using the Mac version of notifier and not having it work? I even tried another random gmail dashboard widget and that doesn't work either. Maybe something is wrong on the google side with macs?
 
I seem to be having the same problem actually, only on my iMac though, on my PowerBook it's fine :confused:

edit: oh well, scratch that, it's not working on the PB now either.
 
I just quit using it because it never seems to actually notify me if I get a new message. :( Now I compulsively check my Gmail every 5 minutes to see if anyone wants to talk to me! :p
 
Mine stopped last night too and for 15 minutes or so and my Gmail pop account wouldn't allow me so send messages through Mail????? I hope they fix it soon I love using that little app.
 
Yep. Me too. Gmail Notifier not working on both my PowerBook and PowerMac.

Google? Are you listening?
 
I use the Gmail dashboard widget (the official google one) and that has stopped workin!!!

i sure hope they fix this!

yeah same here..and the notifier on another computer...neither work...wonder whats going on, I just downloaded the updated notifier too
 
I think it's a problem with who whole system. My Gmail notifier has been out for 2 days on XP, maybe they're screwing around with ther servers again.
 
At work the notifier (PC) has been fine all day (though it breaks occasionally) ... my Mac widget has been broken since this morning (at least). :(

doesn't work on any of my computers, plus lots of mac users have noticed this too on the google groups help pages...what's up? today for the first time i thought i truly had no mail in my inbox this morning :(

Works on my PC, but not my iBook. o.o Strange huh? >>
 
i too, am pleased (or not) to report that my Gmail notifier is also not working. damn and shoot. lucky i didnt have any important emails!

UPDATE: 1:12 AM --> Gmail notifier starts working again!

Bravo to Google for fixing this semi-promptly! :)
