So one of the catch phrases being thrown around in almost every political forum is the "oh, and I guess that was GWB's fault, too?" It's a right wing comeback to the way liberals almost always warn that electing more Republicans will lead to "George Bush" politics. The Republican's kind of roll with it now and say "two years out of office, four years without the house and senate, and all liberals can do is blame Bush."

So I saw this video from John Stewart.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/09/24/stewart-gop-pledge-america_n_737812.html

The problem wasn't George Bush. Sure, as president he was the masthead for the awful policies that reduced a budget surplus to a crushing deficit. He actually signed them, etc. But the ideas for those policies weren't inherent to GWB only. They are, as shown in the video, the Republican's platform.

When liberals say "that's going back to George Bush," they aren't talking about the person, but the policies and ideas he embraced.

    The Pledge to America...

    • Will require that every bill have a citation of constitutional authority

Because apparently, Article 1, Section 7 of the Constitution isn't clear enough to everyone...

All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

Yeah... let's give the country back to these bozos. Let's give America the government it so richly deserves.

It's just like how they want to repeal "Obamacare"....then substitute in the exact same reforms already there that actually make a difference.

They want to take the credit when it pays off a bit down the road. In other words, they're complete *******s who know the public is too stupid/apathetic to see what they're doing.

Dick Cheney had his puppet-master hand so far up George's butt, it's a wonder the poor man is ever seen without a grimace on his face.
