Get ready for useless waste of your tax dollars kids. It's the Clinton years part 2, brought to you by the Republican Party. Expect nothing to get done for at least two years.

This is the number two reason why I cannot in good faith support putting the Republicans back in control of the Congress. Number one being obviously that they have no clue what they want to do should they regain power.

There are still foreign deployments, joblessness, and debt and one of the primary things on the agenda appear to be supporting Issa in bringing up articles of impeachment.

But imagine how they'd scream bloody murder if Obama's team had tried to look into all the stuff that happened at Guantanamo or Abu Ghraib/any of the stuff that happened under Bush. It'd be "undermining American world authority," or "sedition," or "socialism." Definitely socialism, if nothing else.

Nothing will come from this anyway. It'd be two teams of ridiculous powerful lawyers wasting money for at least a decade. It'd be too good a weapon to use against the Republicans. And every day that went by without a result would just enrage their base.

Again??? Going on a fishing expedition? Harrassing the White House over meaningless crap?

Didn't the Republicans learn from the Clinton "investigations"? The public rallied around Clinton, not against him.

Maybe we should've elected HIllary. At least then, all the Republicans woulda had to work with was old news.

Somebody should investigate the Republicans for breaching international Law by invading two innocent nations.

Hypocrites is not even a word for them.

Why are you surprised? These people have proven over and over that they do not care about the country. They care about power. They will waste our time with meaningless BS, looking for a way to impeach Obama.

And what will Obama do? Placate them at every turn, just like Clinton did.

    Oh.

Can we jail Bush and Cheney for war crimes such as torturing POWs? I don't think the GOP has room to talk about White House investigations. Hell, I still remember the Bush Administration raising the terror level the day before the election with absolutely no real threat to the country...

This is their MO. This is what they do when they're in power- waste our time, do nothing and hope no one notices- all while the important things get ignored.

The problem is we have to imagine how they might have screamed bloody murder if Obama's team looked into anything.

By NOT investigating, the Republicans never were put into a situation where they screamed bloody murder about investigations.

Now it's just going to look like the Democrats are whiney or trying to hide something if they complain about an investigation.

Not for long. When this happened to Clinton it backfired on the Republicans. If they do this, it will all but insure Obama a second term.

I hate to disagree but the propaganda out there has so many people riled up to a frenzy about Obama they'll easily fall for this b.s.

The people who are getting riled up were never going to vote for a Democrat, especially a black one, anyways. I think the independents will get pretty disgusted with the republican party if they pull this crap again, especially if they nominate some insane nutjob like $arah Palin in 2012.

I hope you're right, but some of these people claim that they voted for Obama.

I think most of those people are full of ****. Maybe an insignificant minority of teabaggers voted for him, but I just don't know how you could go from being an Obama voter to full ******* crazy rightwing nutjob like that.
