    Hi all,
I just ordered a 24" LED monitor that has two HDMI ports. It also comes with a HDMI to DVI cable.

My question is, in order to connect my macbook to the monitor should I get a Apple DVI-> Mini Displayport connector to create a daisy chain adapter, or should I get a third party HDMI-> Mini Displayport connector? Would there be any difference in picture quality?

nope not all! DVI and HDMI carry the same 1080p picture! What makes HDMI more popular is that it carries sound and 1080P where DVI is only video. I use the dynex DP to HDMI from Best Buy and it works perfect on my tv.

DVI is compatible with the Video from a HDMI cable, no conversion is needed so the picture is identical.
