Good to see this passed. Considering that it would require you to have 6 months or less to live I don't think I'd take advantage of it. I'd like to see it expanded so that if you have a disability that prevents you from being able to take your own life that a doctor could help you. If I had an accident that caused me to be paralyzed I wouldn't want to have to live like that.

Plan for it now. Make a living will, or a Do Not Resuscitate order. I'm pretty sure every state in the US allows them.

Consult competent legal counsel for your jurisdiction.

The Left complains that guns cause suicide...then they legalize suicide.

I haven't heard anyone say they cause it. They certainly make it much easier to do it in the heat of the moment. Laws like this though make sure people have plenty of time to think it over and decide if this is actually how they want to go.

You did read about the necessary, numerous requirements that need to be taken to apply the legislation - to rule out exactly those suicides that the lefties complain about: spontaneously decided ones?

Lighten up, people. I support Governor Brown's bill. I'm just practicing for my new writing gig on The Late Show.

But hot on the heels of that, Brown vetoes enhanced availability of life-saving drugs, the availability of which was championed non-partisan and approved in so many other states.
