graphics app recommendation

I'm waiting till PS7 is available to put down money for an OSX graphics app. In the meantime, does anyone know of one that has decent cropping abilities? I need something that will show me the pixel size of the selected area in the status bar, like Paint Shop Pro will on the Windows platform. That way I can crop a bunch of pictures to the right sizes for web stuff. If Graphic Converter has a way to do this, I'm oblivious, please point it out. If not, is there anything out there that will do the trick?

Graphic Converter

I think Graphic Converter can do this. Not positive, but its shareware, so you can try it for free.

Also, its available for OS 9 and X. Perfect for a person on the brink of switching over, such as yourself.

Yeah, I've been messing around with Graphic Converter for an hour and can't get it to do what I want. Maybe I'm just being obtuse.

Any other suggestions?

In graphic converter the "trim selection" option is the same as Crop.

As well, you can bring up an info window where you can drag the selection box and it will show the exact pixel size.
