Graphics from one message display in another

I use Gmail and on my iPad I have it showing the preview message on the right and the list of messages on the left. When I select a message on the left that contains a lot of graphics, and then go to another message with graphics, the new preview message shows the graphics from the 1st message instead of from the new message. It doe this repeatedly until I power iPad off and start over. I have WiFi+3G, 32 GB.
