Hi,

I am trying to build a website from scratch. I've been learning xhtml/css for a little while and I am ready to get started.

I have bought the excellent Coda app from Panic for the coding but I am not sure what image program to use.

I currently have Seashore (a basic cocoa editor) that just is not sufficient for web-editing.

Can someone explain to me the difference between Fireworks and Photoshop. Which of the two is most likely to meet my needs? How is the GIMP nowadays? Is it any closer to a native Mac app?
