Apple is a company not part of the judicial system, "innocent until proven guilty" or what ever other word play does not apply here.

It was referring to the Employees not Apple.

Employees are subject to apples rules. This isn't a new idea, many companies that deal with precious metals, cash or other valuables do this as well.

The problem is more that employees aren't getting paid for the time at work being searched, not that Apple conducts bag checks.

When you sell expensive products that fit in small bags, it's reasonable to search the people who handle them. You should pay them for that time though, even when the Supreme Court says otherwise.

got to agree here, if I am going to wait 1-2 hrs in line to be checked then I need to be paid for it.

This isn't even remotely uncommon. When I worked security for Nationwide Arena, as well as Gamestop, there were off the clock bag checks (Nationwide actually did bag checks both, upon entering as well as exiting).

I've known people who've worked for 4 and 5 star restaurants and hotels, same thing happens there.

Sounds like old news to me from 2013.

    The lawsuit was dismissed

That's my issue. Check my bag. Don't waste my time without paying for it.
