Guitar Software Help?

hey y'all.

i just got a new acoustic guitar yesterday and was wondering if anyone knows of any mac programs/software that are useful?

i'd preferably like a free program or at least something with a free trial if possible.

i've heard of and seen programs such as "Guitar Kit", "Guitar Pro", "Guitar Shed", "Guitar Tuner" as well as a few others but I don't know much about them or if some are better than others for beginners.

Guitar instruction but not free though I think that there may be some free lessons.

I think that there may be some cheap or free chord apps.

try tuxguitar it can open guitar pro and powertab files. Justin guitar is also a good site for beginner lessons
