I hope that all of the perpetrators who did this are put down like the mad dogs they are.

    Three gunmen were apparently killed...

The Malian Security Ministry has announced that three of the gunmen who seized the Radisson hotel in Bamako have been killed so far during the ongoing operation by security forces, independent Malian site Abamako reports.

The gunmen are reportedly heading for the roof of the building.

    Good riddance.

They released hostages who could recite phrases from the Qu'ran. No word on the fate of people who drew a blank.

If you're sick of it, your illness is going to be chronic.

At no time in your life will the world be free of terrorism, inhumane acts, or barbaric atrocities.

Hopefully, the death toll won't rise.

    So sick of this...

You know, is moderate muslims spent 1/10th as much time railing against these dirtbags, as they do spinning their faith as peaceful, to us, all this crap would be over.

But no, all energy spent on spinning their faith as peaceful and wonderful, to people of other or no faiths. Head-in-sand when it comes to dealing with the people of their own faith, who are actually behaving in a manner that in consistent with the 7th century instructions manual they are using.

And now for all the drones saying "Islam is peaceful as peaceful as other religions", usually citing Old testament fire and brimstone BS as proof.

Not correct - the world has changed! Just as we now have Internet forums where the ~5% of PC users that choose OS X can banter about with each other like it's the most popular OS on the Planet, Dirtbags with sick ideas about violence and religion can converse with fellow losers, around the world. That's the big thing few are talking about - much of this is an Internet and social media phenomenon. Yeah, the illiterate Afghans or Pakistanis from the tribal regions may be tech-noobs, but the foreign Jihadis and people supplying the funding are not. These are terrorist startups...

And somewhere, as we type our love or hate for the iPad pro, hundreds or thousands of losers who don't fit in where they live are being accepted by hundreds or thousands of other losers, on some Jihadi Board, praising the Paris and Mali BS.

Mali's military is not capable of defeating ISIS and/or al Qaeda alone. My guess is this is bait to draw the French into a longer, more protracted involvement there than last time.

Mali is poor, corrupt, poorly educated, and 90% muslim. They will have a tough time with this sort of thing. Heck, look at the way Nigeria is bungling Boko Harim. Mali doesn't stand a chance. They are no longer Democratic, and are already pretty much in a civil war.

They spend more time doing it than that, for example:

The problem is most western media doesn't want to report on it because it doesn't fit into their narrative about all Muslims being evil terrorists, and telling the truth wouldn't generate as many page clicks.

"Saudi Arabia’s highest religious body condemned on Saturday a coordinated assault by gunmen and bombers that killed 127 people across Paris as contrary to Islamic values"

^^ the above doesn't mean squat. call us when they actually do something to make a difference and end this chit.

Nothing is quite as constant as change. The causes and the technology has changed, but the use of killing to create terror has not changed. If anything, war casualties have gone down worldwide, not up. We need to stop flailing around panicking, for it is not bringing out the better in us.

Exactly. The world is actually becoming less violent. But now we are more aware of every bit of violence there is, so from that perspective it feels worse.
